Overview:The 2 doifferent phones bring a vast difference in screen sizem with the X having those smaller bexels enabling a larger screen to fit in a smaller body.
5.8 inch now is seen as big but pretty much the norm for plus sized phones and this mens the X's display is 1.1 inch bigger than the 8, which has a 4.7 inch display.

Overview:The X version has a far bigger screen so the difference in size of both phones is going to be quite dramatic.
The 8 of course is far smaller in all dimensional aspects. The 8 ios 5.2mm shorter at 138.4mm where the X stands at 143.6mm high.
Width wise the 8 is 3.6mm shorter, standing at 67.3mm copared to 70.9mm and lastly the depth is 0.4mm thinner than the X, making a big difference all-round, meaning the compact lovers will be looking at the iPhone 8.
If your a user that likes a lighter weight handset in your pocket the X comes in at 174g which is 26g heavier than the iPhone 8.

Overview:As with previous iPhone models both phones have intergrated batteries, the X has a much higher mah, this will probably be so it can support the much larger screen.

Overview:There has always been a distinct high profile to the iPhone camera. The new models bring again a high powered 12 MP camera, the X though sporting the dual camera system with high specs lens and IOS features that make snapping more fun.
The X version has portrait mode and also the portrait Lighting (beta) version has extra features to look forward to.
If it is zoom you are looking for the 8 has a digital zoom up to 5x yet both the 8 Plus and the X have a huge double size 10x zoom, meaning you can really get up close and personal on your photographs.
The front camera is generally the same on all 3 new iphone models, yet the X stands out with the extra features of portrait mode, portrait lighting (beta) and the new animoji features.
Video recording sees a high zoom spec again on the X and 8 Plus allowing upto 6x zoom whereby the iPhone 8 sports a 3x video optical zoom.

Overview:Both models have the hexa-core processor and sport the A11 Bionic chip, giving great and speed and combined with IOS 11, you can a smoothness as you whizz through the menus and features.

Overview:You will much difference in the pricing of these handsets both in Sim Free and pay monthly price listings. The 8 for all it's great features and looks does not quite have what the X was intended for, this meaning a substantial difference in the deals.
Overview:There are lots of features that the X has that the 8 can bost about too, yet the new look and feel of the X is bound to casue a stir with iPhone enthusiasts and the size and extra features combined with the brand new look, is a decision on if the extra price tag is for you or not.
Face ID brings another new feature for X phones where Touch ID now seems a little old hat and both phones having wireless charging which works with Qi chargers.
Both phones are available in the same internal memory sizes with 64GB and 256GB sizes available.
